Hermann Arnold CEO & Member of the Board

Hermann is Co-founder and CEO of umantis Ltd. Since years, Hermann works on topics of good employee management and the consequences of the internet on leadership co-operation. He consults multinationals in project implementation, gives lectures at universities and conferences, and publishes in journals. Before co-founding umantis, he was several times active as an entrepreneur: as co-founder and CEO of BrainsToVentures, one of the leading private investor networks in Europe, as co-founder and chairman of START, a forum for entrepreneurs, and as co-founder of a computer training company for kids in the age of 6 to 14 years. Hermann did his MBA at the University St. Gallen with majors in strategy and organisation. He wrote his thesis on the topic of «What human resources management can contribute to the value of a company»

Romeo Arpagaus Business Development Manager

Romeo Arpagaus is in charge of the further development of the umantis product range and its market positioning. He graduated from the university of St. Gallen with a degree in economics with emphasis on information and technology management. Before starting at umantis AG he was a business engineer at the Zürich insurance company and he worked in a consultancy firm (BSG Unternehmensberatung). During his first four years at umantis AG he built up the consultancy department.

Les Hayman Member of the Board

Les Hayman is Member of the Board of umantis AG since 2006. He chose umantis because of its ability to change the business world for the better and to create values. Les believes that a company’s employees are the only lasting competitive advantage. He is not just umantis Member of the Board but also SAP Global Ambassador. He has more than 30 years of experience in development and maintenance of global networks and joint infrastructure. He had a career around the whole world and was in leading positions at SAP, Sun Microsystems, Caylx Software, Digital Equipment Corporation, North Canterbury Hospital Board und International Harvester. In particular he is a supporter of innovative initiatives in Europe, in order to make European companies competitive worldwide. Les is a graduate of the university of Monash with a degree in business administration. He enjoys travelling and spending time with his two daughters and his four grandchildren. Les and his wife live in Bordeaux, France.

Nicole Herzog Member of the Board

Nicole Herzog is co-founder of umantis AG in 2000. The company emerged from Brains-to-Ventures. Nicole’s role as COO was an important part of the success of umantis. She worked tirelessly in the development of the internal infrastructure. Nicole’s strengths are the conceptualisation, the development and the updating of the processes necessary for the initiation of an organisation. Nicole has a degree in law of the university of St. Gallen. She loves to travel, to discover new cultures and she appreciates good food and wine. Nicole lives in Zürich, Switzerland.

| Ghislaine Rogers
Head Delivery & Development

Ghislaine Rogers is in charge of consulting, partner programmes, customer service, product management, infrastructure and development. She stands out as a successful manager due to the combination of success, target and customer orientation plus her strength in terms of team building. Before Ghislaine joined umantis AG, she gained experiences in the financial sector, in HR, in the class of insurance and in space technology. She went to school in France and graduated from the ETH Zürich as a mechanical engineer.

Hans Schlegel President of the Board

Hans Schlegel is President of the Board of umantis AG since 2007. During several decades he has gained experiences in technologies. Currently Hans is chairman of the supervisory board of Saeris Holding which invests in high-growth companies such as umantis. Hans had a long career in some companies that are known around the world, for example Hilti Schaan. He was CIO at SAP and IMG/IXOS International. He graduated from the ETH Zürich as an engineer. He enjoys sailing, skiing and spending time with his family.

Marc Stoffel Sales Director

Marc Stoffel works in various responsible positions at umantis since 2005. Since 2009 he bears the overall responsibility for the distribution and for partnerships. Thanks to the different valuable experiences he gained from consulting to product development and product management, he possesses the know how for an outstanding customer consulting in terms of distribution. Marc studied business informatics and has an MBA in Entrepreneurship. Before he came to umantis he gained important experiences in different positions in the software industry. In 2007 he won the Hilti sponsorship award for the most innovative Master thesis.
