Gimmick? Waste of time? A field report
What started as a student yearbook page has, within only a few years, become a multi billion dollar business with over 750 million users. Facebook has broken all the records in the Internet. As an ambitious software company, we have developed a web based software platform for Talentmanagement over the past 10 years. We have always been sure to take successful Internet concepts and integrate them into a corporate context. So what can we learn from Facebook or LinkedIn, the largest buisness contact platform with more than 100 million users? Does ist make sense to connect employees like Facebook users? Is valuable time at work simply wasted? Where is the benefit for the company?
